Chanel N5 L'Eau Eau de Toilette
Olivier Polge completed his vibrant Chanel No.5 L’Eau in 2016, just one year after becoming the brand’s head perfumer. Taking a more youthful approach, he introduced fresh, radiant top notes bursting with sweet citrus fruits like lemon, orange, lime and mandarin. Elevated by crisp, airy aldehydes, these give way to the fragrant bouquet of May rose and jasmine at its heart, with an updated fraction of ylang-ylang making the perfume’s floral aroma refreshingly unique. Cedar anchors the base, while hints of white musk, orris root and vanilla provide a cosy, well-rounded drydown. A teenage Lily-Rose Depp was chosen to be the face of the launch campaign, connecting this elegant, approachable scent with a younger audience without compromising the heritage of the iconic original.
